 | Chart layout. The chart displays the ancestors to the right of the person at the “focus” of the tree. Children are displayed on the left, and spouses are displayed below the focus individual. Positioning the mouse over any person in the chart will display their detail information in the top right hand corner of the screen. A  and/or a  button displayed above the focus person indicates a photograph or additional information is available for viewing. |
| Navagating the chart. Click on any child, spouse, or ancestor to bring them into the focus position. Multiple spouses are indicated by a  button below the spouses name. Clicking the button will change spouse. To locate an individual from a list, click the  button on the toolbar. To open a search box, click the  button. |
| Color coding Blue Indicates the “owner” of the family tree. Red Indicates the direct line of ancestors and descendants of the owner. Green Indicates other relatives that are genetically related to the owner. Navy Indicates individuals not genetically related to the owner. To take ownership of the tree and view your personal family relationships, put your name in the focus position, then click the  button on the toolbar. |
